Fayaz A Shawl MD

Dr. Fayaz Shawl is the director of interventional cardiology at Adventist Healthcare White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. He is also a clinical professor of medicine at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. Dr. Shawl has extensive experience in interventional cardiology, having performed the first percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) in the United States military in 1980 and holding various leadership roles in the field since then.
