Mare Island Brewing Co. is a historic brewery located in Vallejo, California, with roots tracing back to a naval shipyard founded in 1854. The brewery was established by two winemakers who now handcraft beers worthy of the island's storied past, which includes stories of a general's prized mare, shipwrecks, and the contributions of welders, torpedo makers, and Rosie the Riveters during the Civil, Cold, and World Wars.
