Lewis & Clark Rural Water

Lewis & Clark is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a tri-state drinking water system that will benefit the people of South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota. The company was incorporated in 1990, authorized by Congress in 2000, and broke ground in 2003. The 95% complete project has an estimated total cost of $700 million, with $30 million still needed to finish the "base system" of 44.19 million gallons per day, expected to be complete by 2027.
