The DEFCON Warning System is a United States-based organization that provides ongoing geointel, open-source intelligence, and analysis related to the threat of nuclear war. Established in 1984, the DEFCON Warning System publishes a public DEFCON level assessment to inform and prepare the public about the current nuclear war threat level.
